I've become a part of a book club. Yay for making new friends and settling more into life here. It is with several of my friend Carrie's friends (and Carrie too). We had our first meeting last week. The discussion was about the book Blood of Flowers by Anita Amirrezvani. We had dinner together first, and Doro (one of the members) made this fabulous Persian dish with pomegranates to go along with the Persian theme of the book. All around is was a super-fun evening, and I'm looking forward to our next meeting in a few weeks.

I like it - even the tablecloth is persian.
If you pick your books based on the food you can share during discussion time, might I suggest Green Eggs And Ham?
