Poetry slam, film fest, gong show

I went to a special event at the Hammer Museum with Christina this week and had a very LA experience! It was like an open mic night...but for short films. People showed 2 minutes of their film while people in the audience yelled out comments (both good and bad). After 2 minutes the audience voted (with boos and cheers) and if they got enough cheers they showed the rest of the film (usually they were about 10 minutes long). It was like a poetry slam, film fest, gong show! Awesome!
