Taize, west coast style

I've been attending a lot of services at an Episcopalian Church in Beverly Hills. They have all these really beautiful and symbolic worship service events. On Friday night I went to something called Taize...which is a traditionally catholic service...originating from a monastery in France...where you sing the entire service or sit in silence. It is so reverential and worshipful. I adore it. Here's a picture of the candlelit sanctuary. Click on the the photo to see it enlarged...which even gives a better idea of what it's like.



I'm really excited for their Easter services. I think this church knows how to "party it up" in a very ancient sort of way. It's gonna be good...
